ARKA has been actively promoting a range of PPE since 2007. In 2022, ARKA launches R.Advance examination gloves, manufactured in a state-of-the art, fully automated factory in Porto. Arka is then the 1st EU manufacturer of examination gloves. Subject to a 100% inspection, R.Advance and R.Green gloves dispense from a flow-pack, one by one and with the cuff presented first, as per the WHO guidelines. Their unique and patented flow-pack is made of recycled and recyclable material and is resealable. R.Advance and R.Green are designed to enhance Safety of our patients and HCPs whilst reducing gloves usage.

ARKA’s mission is to enhance protection among HCPs and patients and contribute in the reduction of HAIs with a sustainable offering.
Impact of Products/Services on Healthcare:
By dispensing one by one and with the cuff first, R.Advance and R.Green gloves reduce the risk of potential cross-contamination and excessive gloves usage. Produced locally and in a circular economy, R.Advance and R.Green also support NHS Net Zero target plan.
Innovation
ARKA recently launched R.Green examination gloves in response to the NHS financial pressure.
Future Direction
Aligned with the gloves off campaign, ARKA will soon be offering a dispensing system at point of care, allowing HCPs to make an informed decision to wear or not wear gloves whilst caring for patients.
